Quietest ocean side campground I've ever stayed at. If you actually want to enjoy nature than camp here. If you want to turn camping into a night club than take that to the desert and leave it there.

Awesome spot for camping along the NorCal coast. This campground has a trail going from the parking lot down to the beach, but be careful as the last 20ft of the trail consists of boulders and a rickety "ladder" made of logs and steel cables. Definitely not an ADA friendly access to the beach.

Easy access to shoreline via the rim trail. Thickly settled, but I’ve seen worse. We had totally rambunctious immediate neighbors, but that’s the luck of the draw. Would return if I was a camper and/or didn’t live on the East coast.

One of our favorite places. We come here every year and spend about a week. We love this campground. The majority of sites are very spacious and private. The kids love the paved roads and riding bikes. The weather is wonderful and there are little to no bugs! I wish the state would update the bathrooms. Bathrooms and showers are generally clean but very old. Lots of easy hikes and lovely views.

Family favorite. Most of the campsites are screened from each other by forest plants. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table, and food cupboard. Some of the bathrooms have quarter operated showers. Handicap accessible camp sites are available. Trail from the campsite is a 10 -15 minute walk to Palmers Point- a beautiful place to watch sunset, tide pools at low tide (down many stairs), and look out over the sea lions.
