Wonderful park with seating, picnic, and grilling areas. Beach is well maintained and has a great fishing dock. Lovely spot for relaxing

It’s a park for the first time campaigners. The sites are adjacent to each other, most of them were in RVs and may be looking forward to watch stars at the observatory. I camped at site 46, muddy and it was down the slope. There was no grass and it rained that weekend making things muddy. Earlier reviews mentioned lot of mosquitoes, however in the last week of august there were none .. maybe few. The trail is around a mile away to a beautiful lake and observatory. The only thing disappointed me was the condition of the site. The bathrooms were clean, the staff were friendly and nice. Thank you.

This park is literally designed for stargazing. It has a stargazing center and optimal lighting for seeing meteor showers and stars. BUT IT IS NOT OPEN WHEN STARS ARE OUT! This is the most absurd thing. We used to come here to see the stars all the time at night and now they have a gate blocking you from going into it. I mean come on guys use your heads here. We drove 40 minutes out to come to a closed park. Saw some other vehicles here too.

Baylor Regional Park has a very nice boardwalk trail. My friend and I saw a beautiful cattail marsh. We walked a trail that has a basswood forest along with a native prairie. Baylor Regional Park has an observatory. The observatory has star gazing on Saturday nights if the skies are not cloudy. Just to let you know the website states the star gazing starts at 7 PM. We waited until the sun went own. Baylor Regional Park should state the star gazing will start at dusk instead. If you like star gazing, please go to the Eagle Lake Observatory at Baylor Regional Park. The stars will not let you down. Enjoy your star gazing night!

Well, I remember Baylor Park last year and there wasn't as much seaweed as this year. The folks who care for the lake weren't exactly prepared for its summer opening, if they clean it at all. I'm not really sure, but the water this year seems dirtier than last year. It didn't stop me or a bunch of kids and their families though, I mean this is Minnesota after all. Even if we're having fun, the dirtier you are, the better. Shows you're having fun and don't care. Park hours are still the same, rules are still the same, no lifeguard on duty, no dogs on the beach, things like that. Overall, Baylor Park has always been a fun place to go to hang with family and friends, barbecuing, fishing, swimming and getting a tan. And most likely, I'll keep on going, because its free! ❤
