Big Timber / Greycliff KOA Journey
Welcome to the Big Timber KOA! New ownership as of the 2020 season! With friendly, helpful staff and ongoing improvements and remodeling, we want to make your visit relaxing, rejuvenating and fun!
We are located at I-90 exit 377, on the south side frontage road (same side as the Prairie Dog Town State Park). Filled with beautiful trees and bordered by a lazy Montana creek, the Big Timber KOA is a wonderful spot to come relax and spend time with friends and family. On site, enjoy our heated pool and Jumping Pillow, or we have a game room with air hockey and a pool table for evening fun. Our friendly staff is happy to make suggestions if you're interested in a few hours or day trip to enjoy the beautiful Montana outdoors. We offer free WiFi. We can accommodate rigs up to 110 feet! Our pull-through sites sell out fast, so please call for availability. No RV? Stay in a comfortable cabin or bring your tent for an old-fashioned camping experience. Many local attractions, including Natural Bridge Falls, the Crazy Mountain Museum, and quaint dining and shopping in Big Timber. Your park host: Jake Klingensmith

"Large" pull through spots not large. When reserved we gave all details about our rig. Spot has BBQ on one side and hookups on other side leaving no room to put slide outs completely out. We had to place our rig partly in the driveway to put slides out and stairs down. The park itself is beautiful but the large pull in slots as advertised will not fit large rigs. For reference our rig is 37 feet, we have 3 medium sized slide outs. Also, directions given in email might take you to wrong location. Office just shrugged at me and said it happens.

We stayed here twice in 2021. Very nice well kept campground. Very accommodating people that run it. Planning on staying again this summer when heading out west.

I wish the waterpark was still opened. I wonder why they closed it. I want to see photos to when it was opened. I think it became abandoned in 2012 or 2013? I know I went there from 2010 to 2012

This campground is on the smaller side but has very long sites. There is plenty of space to park even the biggest rigs. We stayed here in a 42 foot 5th wheel and had a ton of space for our truck in front and behind the RV. They have cool things for families with kids, A jumping pillow, playground, game room, pool, and a kids cabin. Great place if you don't have kids as well. This place was quiet except for the trains that are coming through all day and night. We stayed for 14 nights and never got used to the train noise. It's not the campground's fault so I gave them a high score due to the great service and clean bathrooms and showers.

Great campground with numerous fantastic amenities! Locally owned, the staff was top shelf. Especially Josh! We couldn't find a hotel in the entire state of Montana for less than $300/night and no campsites available anywhere. Luckily Josh had a patch of grass for us even tho I called after the office was closed. Then he called me back after someone cancelled their res and got us a site with full hookups. Highly recommended!! Thanks again Josh!!
