BEWARE of the RUDE and LYING owners! We camped here seasonally 2 years. The turn over of employees is telling in itself. All the 5 star reviews about nice people working are for people that were let go or left. I have never experienced such a mismanaged campground in my life. We also never received our electric deposit back despite texts from the owner’s wife specifically saying it would be sent (2 months ago and again 1 month ago). There are some wonderful seasonal campers here that we are sad to leave, but the management has destroyed this campground. The last straw for us was being yelled at over the phone by a new employee because I had made arrangements to take my payment for next season (in full) to the owner (with her permission)at their Norton campground, and he wanted me to bring it to Carrollton. Then, when mentioned to Amy, the owners wife, I was told he must have been “ tired and that he is super nice”. If you are considering camping here, DON’T.

Camped last year and it was dirty web page is false advertising there is no pond with giant inflatables the roads are horrible they promote public drinking and when I decided to pull out myself an all others leaving was treated horrible they shut my electric off to my camper and I lost 100.00 dollars worth of meat in fridge. Then the owners called law saying I was giong to insite a riot they owe me refund for electric and owners can't be reached the owner doesn't care about campers and all weekend activities were canceled or something different from on schedule the grounds are not mowed nice there septic tanks are broken and leak some people pay for water to b pumped out owner wants everything in cash so you have to wander what he is hiding there hiking trail are not groomed you can fall easily and nothing is handicapped assable staff are very vindictive and lie about everything so not to be believed an owner is never there because he doesn't care

They are still working on park improvements but what they have is great! Pool nice and warm. Everything is clean. Sewer is coming but they have 2 dump stations so no waiting. Nice and quiet even on a holiday weekend.

Had a great time. Camp grounds very clean. Very friendly staff. Had activities for the campers with music, donuts, paddle carts, fishing pond. Dana was so wonderful and sweet riding around to make sure everyone was having a great time. Will definitely come back

I can tell they are working hard to make this KOA really nice. It was clean and pretty quiet. I did seem pretty boring for us and my 13 y.o. But we only stayed to go visit family in Canton. We stayed in a brand new deluxe cabin that appeared to be finished a few weeks ago. It was clean and well built but the layout was difficult. It’s definitely just a sleep and shower space. 4 small beds in the loft with a steep ladder/stair case. There’s a full fridge, sink, dishwasher, dishes, silverware, pots/pans and an electric griddle. A gas grill on the patio and fire pit and a large table on the covered deck. If the cabin was built a few feet bigger it would be helpful. There’s a small bar with 2 stools built on the wall. The bathroom is good size with a shower. No door on the main bedroom and no privacy blinds on any windows except main bedroom. It was nice ... but layout wasn’t great. I think this KOA will be great with the work they’re putting in.
