The deep Creek mountains are utah's hidden gem. Amazing in late May or June. The CCC campground itself is nice enough. Creeks running through etc. But I highly recommend going up the canyons to camp. So much more a scenic with the pine forests. CCC is good if you're in a big camper or trailer and plan to atv or side by side up the canyons.

The ground is very uneven and not really suitable for tents. No drinking water, no toilet, only one table (mostly already occupied). Extreme gusts of wind after sunset. But finally better than nothing.

I could give 5 stars, but that might imply something this campground isn't. If it weren't for the sign, picnic table, extra trees by the rippling creek, some shrubless tracks in the desert ground, and the odd, slightly pointless (the back gate is open) log fence around an area much larger than where one might camp, you might as well just pull over on the side of the dirt road. If quiet, starry, skies and the above mentioned amenities appeal to you, then 5 stars it is! Not sure why anyone would drive way out here to camp. We did it, and I have no idea why ;-) But if you do make the trip, you're sure have a nice evening of camping. Maybe you're going to check out the 'relatively' nearby Fish Springs Wildlife Refuge. We stumbled across the track to Indian Farm Canyon, just across the road from the campground, and were treated to an amazing ride up a beautiful canyon. THANK YOU TO THE BLM for keeping little treats like this in existence.

When out in the desert it's a good place to park for the night and set up camp, there are a few picnic tables and real fire pits that you can use, just what you need when winding down for the evening.
