Cotulla / Nueces River KOA Journey
Welcome to the Cotulla / Nueces River KOA!
Originally built by legendary brothers Paul and Bill Cotulla in 1975, this award winning KOA campground is alive with history and excitement. Texas Longhorns once sipped from the spring-fed gravel quarries on the North side of the ranch, which now offers excellent bass fishing along with the Nueces River to the South. Splash away in the crystal clear swimming pool with friends or spend an afternoon exploring the expansive 73 acre property. A variety of tent sites, deluxe cabins and plenty of pull-thrus offers something for all your camping needs. Plenty of choices for fun with a children's playground, tetherball, volleyball, horseshoes and movies in the clubhouse. Let Sparky run free with all his furry friends at the massive Kamp K-9! We have 24-hour laundry and showers. Whether you're in town for one day or one year, you're going to love this KOA!

Captain Gary helped us enjoy our time here after a rough border crossing. He is doing a great job taking care of customer needs. Thanks for a great stay.

Price $120 a night for a bedroom (queen bed) Kitchen and futon. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Was clean and comfortable for the price. Playground and clean swimming pool. Fishing pond stocked with fish and was very enjoyable catch and release. We caught a lot of fish through the weekend. Mainly bass fishing. Staff “Gray” was very friendly and helpful. He even allowed us to borrow his fishing rod. He alone should receive a five star. Thanks for the amazing experience.

Gary made this trip so special for us. The highlight of our weekend was getting to know him. Wanted to put this here, a couple months late, to say thank you, Gary! My kids had a blast and we loved the little getaway. Stay well.

Cotulla TX KOA is a great, friendly place to hang out. They make you feel like family. Common area is clean, big screen tv, and good WiFi. I had a nice shady tent site. If I come that way again I will try one of their cabins. The town is a picturesque and quiet place to hang out. Miss it already!

First time we came here it was a work stop. We weren’t expecting anything other than the typical KOA which I do not like. The layout is spacious and easy to navigate. Amenities are about average for KOA except that this one has a river and a lake to fish (which actually hold fish!!). To our surprise the high point is Gary the manager. He is about as friendly of a person you’d ever meet and handles everything with the perfect “don’t worry about it, we’ll work it out” attitude. So here we are a month later and in the same spot next to the playground (kids). I’d recommend this spot to anyone including my parents.
