Camped here for 3 days. Very impressed by cleanliness of park, bath houses and campsites. Had the opportunity to meet Cathy and her mother Marie. Very friendly and helpful. Some of the best camp hosts we’ve ever met. Thank you for a great stay!!!

It's a pretty well maintained park. The staff are friendly, and the bathrooms are well kept. The only downside is that they only have two washer and dryer machines per laundry room. Maybe adding two more could help with laundry wait time, and they could get a little increase in their residual income.

This state park is situated on the north Bank of Lake Pontchartrain. The Campground is not on the Lake, but rather back in the low, swampy areas. We reserved an improved site (81,) which has a perfectly level pad, but the area around the pad is muddy with standing water from recent rains. Bathhouse is nice, clean, with great water pressure and hot water. Very good since there are no sewer hookups. Lots of bike trails and close to shopping. Great place to stay for proximity to NOLA while still enjoying outdoor activities. Update after 2 week stay: it rained pretty good and we ended up with swamp front property. Thankfully we were on an improved site with a raised concrete pad so we only lost our fire pit to the swamp. Other sites were underwater for a day or more.

Beautiful State Park, especially the beach area! Entrance is $3/person. The alligator marsh boardwalk was closed due to damages from previous hurricanes. Trails are nice, might be a bit muddy at some points. Definitely worth it! Many photos shooting happening. Great spot for family pictures!
