Halfway between musically rich Macon and cosmopolitan Atlanta - and with easy access to I-75 - this KOA lies in the heart of Georgia. Though you'd never know it from the quiet country setting, the campground is convenient to the city services of Forsyth and a host of regional attractions. Sample true Southern hospitality in lively villages. Explore lovely lakes, splashing waterfalls and rivers plump with catfish. Snap photos in charming Juliette, where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed, then cool off on 3,600-acre Lake Juliette. Movie fans can relive Gone with the Wind at Jonesboro's Road to Tara Museum, less than an hour's drive. Visit Macon during its Cherry Blossom Festival for a burst of spring color. Basketball, tether ball and pedal boats keep everyone busy. Email: ke123@msn.com. Pool: May 1 - Labor Day. Max pull thru: 100 feet. Your hosts: Ken & Mary Ann Bowman purchased Forsyth KOA Journey in 1996. Sadly we lost both of them in 2019. Siblings Debra Bowman and Chris Bowman are now the owners of Forsyth KOA Journey.

Nice campground with a little lake, putt putt mini golf and pizza restaurant. Most sites are well shaded and the bathroom/showers are clean and fresh. Knocked a couple stars for the way we were treated. Jeep tents in RV sites, called ahead, no issue, check in, no issue, they even moved us so we could all be together. But then 3 times we were hassled by Mitchell who told us that we couldn't be there with tents, that the tents must be attached to the Jeeps (they do) then that they couldn't be attached. We paid for RV sites and had a tag for each Jeep so he finally left us alone but it's not ideal when you are trying to setup to have a guy keep coming back again and again especially when you confirmed in advance.

Great place to stay! Kids loved the little playground and the cute pond. Shortly after arrival we were greeted with freshly baked cookies! Highly recommend. We will be staying there again!

The hospitality is excellent. The park is clean and well maintained and has all the amenities you're looking for.. Very family and pet friendly. Includes pond and play areas. It is close to the highway so you hear it . The back section sites are very close together but easy to navigate.

Hospitality above and beyond. Hot chocolate chip cookies brought to your door. We stayed for 2 nights. Pull through we were given no trees and spots are very close together, not much room to have any outdoor space to sit. No fire pit, had a small chimney wood stove. Nice little lake, the goose get a little scary they will chase you. There are activities and a pool that opens in May.

Super friendly owners and staff! Clean modern bathrooms. Our site was too small for our rig but we made it work. Only 2 sites for long rig/ campers. (We had Class A and car trailer) These sites were not full hook ups.( No dumping at these individual sites.) We only stayed 1 nite.!! Lovely creek with geese and more camping sites were seen....Would stay again!!
