Homer / Baycrest KOA Holiday
Welcome to the Homer / Baycrest KOA!
The end of the road is the beginning of a great Alaskan adventure at this new KOA, perched on the edge of Alaska's magnificent Kenai Peninsula. The campground provides a peaceful retreat in a truly remarkable setting. Gaze out across Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet, reveling in views of snow-dusted mountains, active volcanoes, fishing boats, surfacing whales and other wildlife. Terrific hiking trails lie just across the road. Downtown Homer is filled with great restaurants, local art galleries and museums. Visit the Homer Spit for more gift shops, local seafood and many activities, such as fishing, kayaking, four-wheeling and bear viewing. Take a ferry to the coastal communities of Halibut Cove, Seldovia and Kodiak. Your hosts: Wayne & Penny Eyre.

Five star for an unexpected hole in the wall burger spot. Our AirBnB was right around the corner so we had a quick takeaway meal here one night. Unexpectedly delicious burger meal and some homemade cinnamon rolls. Hard to find good food for cheap these days but got it done at. Baycrest!

Great place, spent a week here...kids loved playing on the boat...staff was super helpful, and camp host was a great guy...the only down side was the lack of staff at the store which resulted in limited hours....otherwise 5 stars!

We stayed here with family for our first visit ever to Alaska. The view was absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t get enough of it. The gas station on site was wonderful with a little restaurant attached. The food was great. On top of it, there was an employee, Hailey, in the KOA gift shop that I was talking to about all the wild rhubarb growing around here. I’m from Florida and rhubarb doesn’t grow in the south. Hailey went home and brought me a large bag of rhubarb to take home with me!!! She is amazing and a breath of fresh air in this world where going above and beyond seems to be few and far between. Thank you Hailey for making our stay that much better.
