Our first & last time in this campground. It was nice to have a pull through site & 50 amp service but that’s it for the pros. Sites are very cramped. As you can see in the picture the sewer for the neighbors site is next to our picnic table. As is the fire pit which continuously blew smoke into our camper. Our site was very uneven despite lifts under the tires. Campground is not close to the beach. Is not walkable if you’re toting chairs, umbrellas, etc. There are not many dining options on the island. And you have to pay to get on the island each day. We were greeted at the gate by staff who labeled us “no shows from yesterday”. We had health issues which caused our delay. We didn’t need to have that thrown in our faces. The worst camping experience ever 😞 I see no option to post a picture 😒

Overall we love the island. This was our first time camping. Plenty to do. Campground was a bit crowded. It stormed while we were there and everything was muddy ( I don't hold that against the campground). We left early due to weather. The staff were very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend. Lots of fishing, walking/biking trails, horseback riding, a water park and it just goes on. Great family or couple spot.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Jekyll Island campground. This was a beautiful campground. The bath houses were always clean and so were the sites. Everything on the property was maintained well. Everyone who worked at Jekyll Islands Campground was very kind and answered all questions. The only thing I wish is that when you were choosing a site you were able to see the pictures of each site so you knew what site you were getting before hand. I absolutely enjoyed the space that I had but I wish I could’ve picked a the one that suited my needs the best. I would absolutely come back if given the opportunity again. The site we stayed in was J 13. We also had two dogs at our site and paid our Pet fee and had a lovely time.

We love Jekyll Island campgrounds. We have been going for years. The newer bath houses are really nice. The location is great. The scenery there is beautiful. The store even has really cool stuff, and shout out to Michelle who works in the store... very nice and very helpful. The campgrounds are truly the way to go if you like to camp, as it is inexpensive and won't break the bank like a hotel might do. :)

Just left Jekyll Island after camping over the weekend with a group of friends. We struggled a bit as there was a bad storm and our tent got flooded, and lots of things wet. Nonetheless the campground was great! Brand new bathrooms with clean showers and places to charge devices. Plenty of activities to do on the island and lots of beautiful things to see. However, this review is not about any of that. The absolute best thing about this campground were the three women we met working there, Michelle, Krystal, and Kimberly. They made us laugh, they helped us out, gave us advice, and treated us like their own family. Through the whole struggle of the weather this weekend they truly lifted our spirits. They went above and beyond even with helping our friend find their missing wallet and looking after our campsite when we had to abandon ship due to the storm for the night. Out of all the experiences this weekend, those ladies will forever be the most memorable. Thank you all so much :) (please give them a raise!!)
