Lava Hot Springs West KOA Holiday
Welcome to Lava Hot Springs West KOA, located downtown at 89 N. Center St. Exit off of Hwy 30 under the water slides. We are the closest campground to the Olympic-sized swimming pool and water park.
Lava Hot Springs KOA West offers lodging, camping and glamping accommodations during any season of the year. If you plan to stay during the summer season, make your reservation 6 months ahead. This campground is centrally located to all the fun-filled activities, which makes it very popular. The footbridge located over the Portneuf River makes for a fast and easy access to the water park from any campsite. The World Famous Hot Springs are only 3 blocks away and open year round. With many new renovations still in the near future, we'd like to announce the new Pavilion is ready for private rental gatherings, or free to use with courtesy to all campers. It seats approximately 30-40 people. Our KOA provides new shower facilities, laundromat, playground, jumping pillow, dog run, gift shop/convenience store, fire pits, fishing and Wi-Fi.
Floating the natural Portneuf River is a popular adventure. Ask about tube rental discounts during your stay.

Beautiful and friendly. Spacious. Only thing less than perfect was trash came at 6am. Wonderful location to town. If you like trains, you can see and hear them, though you may hear them anywhere in town. Walking distance to both local and state mineral pools. The stream was beautiful and so relaxing. Very clean. I would gladly return. Loved it!

We've been visiting Lava for over 12 yrs (initially in hotels) About 5-7 yrs ago we bought a MH and switched to staying at the KOA West. So many great memories! This time we booked a cabin. The cabins are delightful, very modern, clean & comfortable. We'll definitely book a cabin again. *Because they are cabins, you'll need to bring your own bedding & towels (the norm for renting cabins in many places)
