Monticello RV Park & Store

I am confused why people are reviewing the Elephant Butte RV park at 6 Chappie Rd when this RV Park is in Williamsburg, just south of TorC. According to Google they both carry the same name but the addresses are quite different and the maps show both parks. There's another so called store and RV park called the Monticello in the middle of TorC too that I found on a Mapquest map. What is going on with 3 RV parks with the same name! Utter confusion. As bad as cats and dogs living together! Would one of you owners please get all the owners together and rename your RV parks? Please? Look at all the reviews here for example...they all seem to be reviewing the Elephant Butte park, NOT the one the address shows in Williamsburg. I will change my rating if one of the owners helps clear this up. As you can see below...the owner of the 6 Chappie road RV park answered my query, NOT the owner of the park in Williamsburg, which is the park this review is for. See what I'm saying? Even the owners seem confused. I ended up staying at the RJ RV park in T or C instead of either of what seems to be two 'Monticello' parks, one in Elephant Butte the other in Williamsburg. Reason is that this morning, it got down to 19 F where I was staying and my jacks stopped working, only partially retracting. Staying in town instead of either of those outlier parks seemed to be the best option for a repair.

DO NOT USE GOOGLE TO FIND THIS PLACE! Google tells you exit 71... WRONG!!!! use exit 89! Now on with the review... If you want to get away from it all in a peaceful RV park this place is perfect. However, it is a long, long windy road with dips and it's going to seem like it takes forever!! Gordon (I think that's his name) was very nice and helpful and had lots of knowledge of the area! Gracie was in the office. She was very pleasant and I enjoyed visiting with her. The park has a very clean shower house and bathroom. Has trees and pretty level sites.

I found this gem on my Passport America which they don't take anymore but I don't care. I LOVE this place. It's super quiet and friendly. The prices are unbeatable and you get one of the best stays ever. The new owners couldn't be more lovely. They are anxious to help you any way they can. It has a bathhouse which I never use, a really nice laundry room and an office that has items for sake if you don't want to go to town. It's 6 miles off the highway and the drive is awesome. It's tucked away in a valley. I came for three days and now after a week I am staying the whole month. Great prices, great park, great beauty. You are so very close to the lake as well. This place is a must for all. Five + stars.
