This park is a real gem, best hiking east of the rockies imo.

My partner and I rented a chalet for two nights off of Lac Caspedia in late summer. We loved our stay and were pleasantly surprised! The cabin was easily heated (with gas heat + wood burning stove), had a well equipped kitchen (everything from plates + cutlery to corkscrews and can-openers) and warm water (with good pressure) that didn't run out easily! Proximity to the lake was amazing and the little chalet community was friendly but each chalet was at a good distance for privacy. The chalet had three potential downsides: the biggest flaw was the beds. I would have preferred camping - bring a foam or inflatable base to save your back! The other issue was the way the door locked - it does not appear to be locked from the inside but indeed is locked from the outside - led to a tricky lock-out situation early one morning. The last is that there is no wifi unless you are at the accueil, which I loved but others might not. Would stay there again and bring friends!

Truly the best National Park in Quebec. We stayed in one of the nice cottage in Lac Cascapedia with a best view ever. We opted for fishing stay with row boat and that this place is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. Only solar power and best kept secret. I was awestruck by the beautiful Milky Way . Just grab a blanket and catch the park’s true highlight ; some of the darkest skies in the area.

I stayed at a camper site in the parc and was pretty disappointed with the services given by the camp( there were barely any ), but to be fair the views of the place were quite amazing and it was topped off by the nice hiking trail and the animals you could observe in the wild. The other disappointment of the parc was the fishing. Honestly it was disastrous because of the lack of signs where you could fish and because the water was 4 feet deep max so it brings a lot of confusion. Also the trail to go fishing is almost no there so you need to walk through the current of water to reach other sides. Almost fell a couple of times. Finally I don’t recommend you this place if you’re in it for the fishing and if you want services for your camper.
