Extremely rude customer service! My husband and I make numerous trips to Fairbanks from Anchorage throughout the summer months due to our kids softball and baseball tournaments. Last summer, I had reserved an RV spot at Rivers Edge RV Park & Campground but plans changed and our daughter's team decided to stay in the hotel. When I called to cancel my reservation the woman was extremely rude and nasty to talk with. She ended the call with, "Do us a favor, and the next time you come to Fairbanks, don't stay here!" I was blown away, the first place in my life I have ever been 86ed from is somewhere I have never even set foot in! Fast forward to this year... Being an Alaskan and wanting to support local business, I decided to give it another try. I put in a request to reserve an RV spot for my husband when he takes our son to a tournament in June. Nowhere on their website does it mention anything about RV length and site regulations. I put in a request to book a full hook-up for our 26ft camp trailer. Yesterday an employee from Rivers Edge RV Park & Campground called my husband, and essentially yelled at him over the length of our camper. "You won't fit, you can't stay in the spot you are requesting, you can't back up into that site!" (Again, as I said, nowhere online does it state anything about RV lengths and site regulations) When my husband tried to ask questions, she'd cut him off, just repeating the same thing over and over. "Don't call our office, it is closed. Look at your phone. Use the number on your phone to get ahold of us. You know how to do that, right?" She was just down-right mean. We are disappointed in the costumer service we've received, so much so I decided to write this review (my first ever). As a host of a vacation rental, I would never treat my guests the way we have been treated. Two strikes and we have learned our lesson, we will make sure to always stay somewhere else when we visit Fairbanks.

Got in about 9 pm, tried to do a late check-in/ pay. Called the number lady said we could pay in the morning. Asked about bathroom codes, she said she couldn't give them out till we paid... We offered to give a credit card #. That wasn't good enough to get a access to the bathroom. We ended up staying in the Walmart parking lot for free which was actually quite nice.

We are soooo happy so far with this park! Makayla is such a helpful, accommodating, nice person and got us a great riverfront site. I would definitely recommend it! I can’t wait to try the food tomorrow.

Had a great experience until they started charging my credit card after I left. I paid in full and was told they would honor a military discount as we have active duty service members. When I called to ask why the extra charges, the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and told me she was charging what it "should have been". She changed her story of why the charges were added twice. When I asked about the military discount, she dismissed me and said she was charging for the rate per night. She didnt want to send me a detailed invoice and only sent it after I asked 3 times. Watch your money around these people and make sure you get detailed receipts for everything!!!!!

Stayed in Tent site 05 for 2 night as we were camping through Alaska. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The RV site is the cleanest site I have ever seen including the bathrooms anywhere in the US. Perfect location, Right on the Chena River! Staff was kind enough to hold our bags on our last day before our flight out while we went out exploring. It’s a wonderful place and we will definitely come back again!
