Nice small and quiet Campground. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The sites are VERY SMALL. Parking one vehicle is difficult. No room to set up any game like corn hole unless. The staff wasn’t very welcoming at all. At 10 pm, they have a VERY RUDE gentlemen drive around and tell you to stop talking! A conversation between 3 adults was too loud for this place. On two occasions, this man told us we had to stop talking because we were too loud. We all were taken back because we were not loud. The first night he walked into the campsite and said our conversation was too loud. The second night he yelled from his golf cart, “we had to stop talking at 10 pm, and the fire had to be out by water at 11:00, or we would have to pay”. Stating, there was is a penalty for talking after 10 pm. Now camping is where you can meet people from all over and relax and enjoy except at Shady Knoll! This place is very UPTIGHT, and I would not recommend staying here if you want to sit by a fire and talk, play games, and genuinely want to relax! The campground is quiet with not much to do it is maintained well.

If you’re a big family and you need a lot of stimulation, this is not the place for you. For me and my wife(and Brady the mini Schnauzer) this place was the best. Quiet and clean. Outside the campground within a short walk , was a family run market equipped with everything you may have forgotten and a great deli with plenty of sandwich selections.. Beach 1 mile, Bike trail , half mile. We’ll be back in September so we can take Brady on the beach..

We had a lovely private campsite, and the campground itself had nice bathrooms with free showers. The nature trail that you can access from the campground is really lovely and extends to a community garden and a wood and there's even a whole self-guided tour you can take that starts at a kiosk at the community garden. The people were friendly and hands off and the campground was conveniently located to all kinds of great birding locations. There was a really nice built-in bench at our campsite, too. The ground was very hard and it was hard to hammer in the stakes for the tent and also there were a lot of rocks on the ground. Also be careful of the poison ivy.
