A decent campground, but I think it's one of those "it'll do" kind of campgrounds. The price is a bit high, privacy is a bit low, and it doesn't feel overly 'rustic', in my opinion. Just a standard commercial campground. However, that being said, it is in the beautiful Tahoe National Forest and I definitely don't want to give the impression it doesn't provide the potential for an enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a spot for a group to spend time on the water during the day, then camp and grill out in the evening, it's probably going to be a great choice. As someone usually looking for the 'great outdoors' feel, I wouldn't put it at the top of my list, but I also would absolutely consider a return stop there if I'm in the area and looking for a place to put up the tent.

Peaceful , less crowded , don't worry if the camp ground is full ,you can do wild camping at the spots amidst those trees , go straight on that single one way in one way out road at boca and at the end of the road take right and camp anywhere .

A great gem if you are fine with no services. Easy lake access and great sites.
