Twilight Dunes RV Park

Pretty nasty place to stay, sites are dirt sand not level , no trees or shade at all so pretty hot even with A/C running constantly , not much long term since active duty living there and pocketing their housing allowance. Wind blowing dust and sand, not much water drainage during a flash flood. The RV park outside the base is much better for a little more.

1st This is a military campground not a resort I had read the reviews before chosing this location live at this location. I wasn't expecting that we are at resort. I stay due to the priceand is much more secure than other RV parks in the area. You check in at the Inn. The front desk staff are nice but have no knowledge of RV or what an RVer may need. You can pull your rig in the Inn parking lot. You can drive park in the parking lot or across the street and walk over. I found it easier to park in the Commissary and walk across the street. The RV Park is about a .25 mile on the right. You must traverse a gravel road to get to the park. I was in the first row so we could pull through. Site level front to back but need attention side to side. Electric pole, water and sewer in a good location. Our concern is the large dip if you choose to completely pul through. If you stay her don't get comfortable or fully set up your site, the management expects you toput every thing away every morning. The rules state not to leave excess items out but they will give you a violation for having your daily use camp chair and table out. The management does not respect the active dutyresadents and borer line harasses them over vaguely worded rules.

It was close to Joshua Tree NP. It had a nice cover to park your vehicle under to protect it from the weather. The rv spots are sand/dirt/gravel and fairly level. Office people are polite and helpful!

Okay not great, decent amenities. Flat spots. It was very windy though.

So far so good. All the hookups +cable. Dirt plots, so make sure you have the stuff to level on dirt. Mail is still a mystery. To be continued... Update. Mail is like a house. Get a box from the housing office where you check in. FedEx is always late, UPS and USPS on time, just like a real home!
