I wanted to share my experience with this campground because we were leery of booking here while looking at the past reviews and I must say we were very happy staying here! Our stay was from Monday to Sunday. First off I would like to address the small sites. That is an accurate statement. We solved that problem by booking two sites as you can see in the photo. One for our 44’ toy hauler and one for another trailer and truck. Worked perfect!!!!! We did not have a tent but while taking a walk the sites were super cute. Elevated above a grassy area, any tent camper would be pleased. Wildlife in the hills above all the time. Bathrooms clean and pleasant. Need a bit of updating. Staff, very friendly nice and courteous. Would go here again!

Such a cute campground, right between two mountains. Yes, the spots are a little tight but you are literally minutes away from downtown Deadwood. We enjoyed our time here, went on walks several times and enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball on the grassy area by the pool. For the price and location, this campground is great! Our only complaint would be that the wifi was intermittent and we couldn't get any cell signal, but that just meant we had to spend more time doing family things!

Reasonable rates. Very nice sites with 30/50 available! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Trolley every 30 minutes into town. Some sites include deck.

First i want to say the location is stunning! The campground is seated between 2 hills and it is breathtaking. Unfortunately the campsites are EXTREMELY small. By far the smallest of anywhere we have stayed at before in several states. As you can see in the picture taken from our kitchen window you are right up against your neighbor and the neighbor behind you is real close to you. Certainly can't put your awning out. Yard games are a no go. Fires are scary as well because the fire pits are way to close for comfort to the next camper. There is no privacy. I cant for the life of me understand why they wouldn't have tried to make the spaces a little bigger. Beautiful location but we will never stay here again. South Dakota is our favorite place to camp and we have stayed at several campsites and this is by far the lowest on our list. I would have given it 1 stars but the view is phenomenal and it's situated in my favorite place of all time so it gets credit. But smelling the neighbors sewer because it is so close is a true deal breaker.
